We went with Mark on his work project to Ogden, Utah.  On the way, we got a National Park pass, knowing that we've got a lot of trips coming up and a lot of country to see!  This is Arches National Park.

We are feeling very blessed to be able to go on this and the future trips we are planning.  God has given America so much variety in our country, too bad most people miss it by not traveling or by flying everywhere.
Tuesday, May 22, 2007  Our biggest challenge as a family so far!  Climbing up to Timpanogos Cave!  It was a very steep climb! To get to the cave, we had to hike the 1 1/2 miles trail to the caves, gaining over 1,100 feet in elevation!  We made it, carrying Sadie most of the way too!  It was worth it!
Wednesday, May 23 Mark arranged for Mandi and the boys to take a tour of the flour mill he was working on their network for.  It was really neat!  I always wondered what those big concrete buildings looked like inside!
Wednesday, May 23  After Mark's work, we went to the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island.
Friday, May 25 We went to the Grand Tetons.  Got to see this Beaver on a hike by Jenny Lake.  We had just perfect weather.

We stayed in Jackson Hole, WY.....bears and antlers were the theme....
37When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
39Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" 40"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

It was pretty wild seeing snow this late in the spring.  The kids wanted to play in it.

Yellowstone!
Here we are!

Saturday, May 26, 2007
Saturday, May 26  The geological features of Yellowstone are sure amazing...stinky, but amazing!
Saturday, May 26  We have sure driven a lot of miles so far.  The kids do very well.....of course it really helps when they can nap in the van too!

Sunday, May 27, 2007  Day Number 2!  There is so much beauty to see and stuff to smell!

Yeah, we finally saw bears!  (That was the question of the weekend, "Was that a bear?"  We saw these 2 very close up!
We spent 2 days in Yellowstone.  We maxed out every bit of light too.  There's a lot of ground to cover!  But at dusk was when most of the animals came out!  We saw Moose, Elk, Black Bears, Grizzly Bears, Buffalo, Owls, Pronghorn Antelope, Lions, (no, not Lions), Big Horn Sheep, and so much more!  It was awesome!
Tuesday, May 29, 2007 On the way back home, we went through South Dakota and saw Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the Badlands.
