Cale's 10th birthday party
We love parties and I love to have themes. Unfortunately, in our house there's rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State. The longer it goes the more polarized the boys get (fed by their dad and grandmother who are also on opposite sides.) So, Cale asked for a Sparty cake. A Sparty super hero cake/party. I do think it turned out pretty cool even though I'm partial to the blue and gold. (Although, now that I'm in Michigan, I find it fun to root for all my Kansas teams even more!)
The boys came over after church and we got pizza for lunch. It was beautiful, so we ate outside.
I grabbed a bunch of material that someone had given me that didn't sell in a garage sale and showed the boys how to cut out capes and masks. They made their own super hero costumes.
Then we did some super hero games. Of course, they found sticks and fought for awhile too.
Now for cake and ice cream and
