The School at Charlton Park
School bell has rung! Kids line up boys on the right and girls on the left! (Sorry about the bright white picture...)
A one roomed school house - which really, our kids are all used to! In a way that is.
They aren't used to being in uncomfortable desks for a long period of time though!
There were assignments for each grade all around the room.
They all worked at their own levels on their slates.
Cosette -pre-K/K (5 years old)
Sadie 3 years old
Cale 3rd grade
Malachi 6th grade
Then there was recess time. They got to play with the wooden loops to run with....
and another smaller loop that you use 2 sticks to flick into the air and the other person tries to catch it with the sticks. Kind of like a frisbee.
I don't know why I didn't take pictures of our lovely picnic lunch and our whole group at one time, but at least I got a picture of someone enjoying our soup!
After lunch, we roamed around the other buildings at our own speed. Most the kids got to spend a little money in the general store. There's a pretty river right by and some swings behind the schoolhouse that we could use too. It was just a perfect day! Thanks Lord!
