Kite Festival in Grand Haven, MI
It was a really windy day on the coast, good for kites, not so good for staying warm. Our long sleeves were a last minute thought! At least we had something!
Huge kites!
I don't have pictures posted of the competition because it just would do it justice, but it is amazing what control some of these kites have!
We even brought our own kites, but unfortunately, one of the winders crumbled and I almost lost a finger when I got tangled in to the string! That wind was really strong! But I got it out and managed to find something to wind the string around to bring the kite down. It actually took quite a while! But it was a neat experience overall.
