We lined up by country and even made a real torch this year to lead the way.

We introduced ourselves before lighting the "cauldron." My torch actually stayed lit the whole time! If you wondered, I wrapped a scrap of old T-shirt around a stick and poured a bit of olive oil on it. It didn't want to light easy, but it actually stayed burning and you could wave that thing around and it would go out! (Canola oil didn't work, just so you know.)

China (We had found these felt stars at a garage sale some time back and just happened upon them the day before while cleaning out a drawer! Thank you Jesus for that little fun detail! We ironically wore our USA shirts inside out, which Cosette really had a hard time dealing with at first, and put the stars on-instant uniforms!

The Lighting Ceremony - not quite as spectacular as China's show, but I'm sure it was a "close" second!
